WORK SUMMARY: Under general supervision, maintain selected electronic and electrical systems on furnaces and associated equipment throughout the company.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
1) Learn & understand relevant industrial (AMS 2750) & Customer specific standards relevant to Heat Treatment of metal in aerospace applications.
2) Prepare, perform and record system accuracy tests, enter the data into spreadsheet file and save.
3) Set up thermal uniformity survey and data recorder and enter data into spreadsheet file and save.
4) May trouble-shoot/repair electronic/electrical components on computer controlled and numeric controlled machinery and systems such as heat-treating ovens.
5) Performs periodic maintenance on electrical/electronic systems on all Heat treatment machine tools and associated equipment. Maintain records associated with periodic maintenance.
6) May program all controllers and instruments on all furnaces. Assists calibration department in calibrating furnaces as required.

JOB PURPOSE: Under some supervision performs preventive maintenance on company equipment. Adds oil, grease and coolant to machines, per written procedures and as required. Maintains company facilities in a clean and orderly condition.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:
1) Performs maintenance tasks related to facilities functions as scheduled by maintenance management. Maintenance includes Daily Checks, Preventative/Proactive, & Reactive Maintenance of the following Systems:
a) Facility Steam Boilers
b) Facility Air Compressor Systems
c) Facility Water Treatment Systems
2) Can perform the basic maintenance functions like painting, hanging wall hung items, minor repairs of walls, doors, roof, and structures.
3) Can determine supplies needed to perform the above tasks and can acquire them with the support of KRC purchasing.
4) Per written procedures and as required, adds oil, grease and other lubricants to company machinery.
5) Maintains and monitors coolant systems.
6) Makes minor repairs to lubrication coolant and sensing systems.
7) Inventories and orders oils/grease/coolant as required.
8) Performs general cleanup such as sweeping, removing various waste.
9) Operates power cleaning and polishing equipment.
10) Maintain a clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties) in full compliance with company standards, customer and government regulations.
