Retrofit Scope of Work:

CNC System:

• Fanuc control system with digital servo drives and motors.
• Three Axis (3) and Two (2) spindle function
• 10.4" color LCD display
• New I/O
• Hand-held manual pulse generator (hand wheel)
• CNC control manuals & CD’s

Operator Stations:

• New operator station will house the 10.4" display, and all misc. pushbuttons, switches and etc. needed to operate the machine.
• The operator station will be mounted on a pendant arm to allow movement of the operator’s station.

Portable Operator Stations:

• New hand wheel unit will be located at the main operator’s station.
• The handheld unit will allow manual jog or hand wheel function of all axis.

Position Feedback:

• The X-axis will use motor mounted encoder feedback.
• The Z-axis will use motor mounted encoder feedback.
• The C-axis will use motor mounted encoder feedback.

Axis Drives and Motors:

• The X, Z, & C axes will be fitted with new AC servo system to include motors amplifiers and motor mounted encoders.
• Fully digital servo drive system

Live Spindle:

• New Fanuc 20HP AC Spindle Drive and motor

Table Drive:

• New 75HP DC Spindle Drive
• Rebuild 75HP DC spindle motor

Electrical Enclosure:

• A new NEMA 12 electrical enclosure.
• New electrical/electronic components will be provided, including motor starters, solid-state relays, terminal strips, surge protectors, etc.
• Panel will be equipped with internal fluorescent lighting and a 120V 10A outlet.

Machine Wiring & Documentation:

• The machine will be completely rewired according to current NFPA 79 standards.
• All wire and cable will be machine tool wire (MTW) or equivalent.
• All flexible new flexible electrical conduit.
• New electrical schematics and new operators manual.
• One (1) Hard copy and one (1) electrical copy of the above manuals.
