Gantry Mills

A gantry is defined as a structure or machine that bridges over an area that moves on wheels usually on a set of parallel rails. Gantry mills have 3, 4, or 5-axes and are designed for cutting flat steel plate because its design allows for an easier way to move cutting torches in an X-Y coordinate system.
